a global proxy setting is within your computer it refers to the fact if you are using a proxy to access the internet pidgin probably asked you if you want to use your systems default proxy settings i.e. the internet explorer proxy settings

2: Type: /server irc.undernet.org
3: Search for a channel called "Fyreball" and then join it.
NOTE: I am using ChatZilla.

You shouldn't need to search for the channel before joining it. Just connect to the server and type: /join #fyreball

ok update to the irc.
certain people have been experiencing problems with the server i am using right now.
So as a result of this i have decided to shift base to the largest IRC server out the the EFnet servers
our options for hosting the room are on the following servers.
# irc.efnet.ch - ipv6 - 1038 users - Geneva, Switzerland - IP-Man(host) Established in 2007(most upto date server has ipv6 support)
# irc.he.net - 2697 users - Fremont, CA - Hurricane Electric (host) established in 2004
# irc.pte.hu - 896 users - Pècs, Hungary - University of Pècs (host) Established in 2005
which one do you guys think

everything is pretty intuative and ic ould run the channel if you want. i always have the irc up on my comp. i can register the chan and everything. get some bots if necessary.
